Concrete Batch Plant Operator - 1 Position Available.

Active work in Nederland Colorado 2026 and Douglas Wyoming to 2029.

Location:

Albion Lake Dam, 20 mins North of Nederland Colorado on Rainbow Lakes Access Road to 2026. Continued work to 2029 in Douglas Wyoming.

Description:

Big Sky-Montana Civil JV has a traveling onsite concrete batch plant operator position available for a high altitude dam project in Nederland CO and a RCC dam project in Douglas WY. Must have 5 year experience in concrete production and preferably dam construction. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating a concrete batch plant, operating heavy equipment, driving mixer trucks, and construction processes, along with strong mechanical aptitude. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Operate concrete batch plant loaders and related heavy equipment safely and efficiently at multiple locations.
• Load raw materials such as aggregates, cement and additives into the concrete mixer according to specified Mix Designs.
• Monitor and adjust batching processes to ensure consistent quality of concrete output.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and material usage.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Superintendent for weekly concrete pours.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position that is responsible for operating heavy equipment in cut/fill, underground and overhead utilities, haul routes, staging areas, and tight areas. Knowledge of hazards, safety precautions and awareness for a variety of tasks are essential.
• Some duties include loading and unloading of materials and supplies that requires lifting and/or moving materials by hand weighing up to 50 lbs., operator will be required to get in and out of equipment multiple times daily.
• Exercise good judgement regarding safety & pre-cautions.
• Work independently and in crew environment depending on the task.

Qualifications:

• Must have 5 years’ experience
• Available to work extended long hours, nights and weekends when weather demands schedule.
• Able to pass Pre-employment Physical and Drug/Alcohol Testing, including marijuana.
• Must be able to follow instructions and meet set standards.
• Must be familiar with basic hand signals.
• Must be able to Read & Write to fill out Daily Time Cards.
• Must provide 3 pertinent references from previous employers.

Pay:

• Operator will be paid $28.00-$32.00/hour DOE plus $197.00/day per IRS diem for remote location.

• Bonus bank retention at $5.00/hour straight time and must stay through duration of entire project. Ask for details. Paid at end of project to be somewhere between Oct-Nov 2026.
